After years of training people to use Odoo with slides, videos or webinars, it’s time to let them play with Odoo! 

Each year new features are improving Odoo, new employees are hired, digitization is expanding to all sectors and companies are faced with the need to (re)train their users. What if users were able to play with Odoo to learn to use new apps, to perform specific tasks or to discover the new functions? This is the promise of OdooSim, a simulation game designed to train users in a real life scenario where customers are placing orders and employees need to manage inventory, production and pricing by using the relevant Odoo modules.

This is done and managed within Odoo, providing a real world experience to the learner. As for the teacher, he can use all the reporting features of Odoo to analyze the performance of the simulated companies.

During this presentation attending people will discover a new way to train users on Odoo and the benefits of using simulations in their own training sessions. After introducing some common ways to teach and train users on ERP systems, we will present the expected benefits of using a simulation. We will then present OdooSim, a business simulation based on Odoo 11. We will show how trainers can setup simulations in order to focus on the activities that trainees have to learn. We will finish by presenting experiences that we made using such simulations in teaching ERP classes. Attending the presentation requires no technical background.
