Good morning,

ref. Odoo online 17

simple question about the categories created by the system:

example All/saleable -- All/saleable/pos

support told me not to delete the product categories, but didn't say anything else.

So to insert the articles there are 2 possibilities 

Practical example

- Website category created = desks

- POS category created = desks

to insert the product = "metal desk" which of the three possibilities is correct ? 

a)​All/saleable

b)All/saleable/pos

c)I create a new product category = desks


I prepared a csv file with 2000 articles and I wanted to automatically associate the categories = pos - website - product

I specify that we sell finished commercial products as resellers

thanks, then if it doesn't create errors in the document flows I think of creating new product categories and matching them also in:

- POS categories

- WEB categories

All/saleable: This category is generally used for products that are available across all sales channels, including the Point of Sale (POS) and the website.

All/saleable/pos: This category would specifically include products that are saleable in the Point of Sale system.

Creating a new product category (e.g., "desks"): You can create a dedicated category for desks and use this to organize your products. This can help you keep a clear structure and easily find products related to desks.

You can add a column for product categories to your CSV file (which contains 2000 items) and designate the relevant categories according to your needs. You are free to make new categories as needed or to use the names of the ones that already exist.
