Hey everyone, I'm planning to do database migration via OpenUpgrade. My project has 150+ custom addons. So i am thinking to do database migration version by version and code migration directly from 15 to 18.
Is it doable ? Or anyone has came across similar situation ?
Odoo is the world's easiest all-in-one management software.
It includes hundreds of business apps:
- CRM
- e-Commerce
- Contabilidad
- Inventario
- PoS
- Project
- MRP

Answer to my own question:
I followed a sequential migration strategy.
First, I upgraded my database to Odoo 16, 17, and then 18, one version at a time—without any custom modules. This ensured that the core database was upgraded cleanly and without conflicts.
After completing the core migrations, I applied and adapted my custom modules on the Odoo 18 instance.
