I have read a lot of posts about ways to limit brute force attacks and login, but I am left a little unsatisfied. What is the best way for us to limit log in attempts via a Windows 2012 Server? Is it best to try and handle this through an Odoo module or through a third party application that reads the log files for Odoo and blocks the IP, say , for 24 hours? Any ideas on good tools for the latter?

You can limit brute force attacks with the help of module Odoo User Login Security. However, for now the module is only available for Odoo V13, V12, V11 and V10. You can reach our technical support team at support@webkul.com for the same.
