Re: How to get started developing Odoo for beginners in Eclipse or Pycharm on Windows?durch
The "Odoo Development Essentials" book might help you. It advises using an Ubuntu VM in your Windows machine, but describes how to set it up so that you can work from your Windows using your IDE of choice. The chapter describing this is available for free here: www.slideshare.net/Products123/odoo-development-essentials-sample-chapter Alternatively, if you really want to skip the VM setup you can consider using the Nitrous cloud development service, at https://www.nitrous.io. It has a free plan, I have been using it and IMO works great. You might also like to visit the book website (http://essentials.odoo.com) where you can find another free chapter guiding you through your first Odoo module. If you like this, I can add that the ebook is, for a limited time, with a 50% discount promotion if you use using the code in the book website :)

I am searching from a while just to setup the environment for developing odoo. I have searched many blogs but the only one I found to be most detailed and easy for the beginners was this link.
Now I have tried to debug Odoo ver. 7 and ver. 8.
I have installed Python 3.4.3.
Everything that was mentioned in the link was followed accordingly accept Python ver.2.7 and I am having the following error when I debug it.
