Olivier has been a member of Odoo's Accounting R&D team for 9 years. He's now responsible of the sub-team handling, among other things, the powerful computation engine running behind all of our accounting reports. He considers it as his baby, be ready for a long talk if you ask him about it!
Olivier indeed likes to talk. That's how he also ended being the host of our monthly Odoo Unplugged show ! You can find it on YouTube, if you're curious.
All the accounting reports of Odoo are computed using the same engine. It therefore makes sense we slightly improve it in every version ! This technical talk will go through the things we did this year, and will present a longer-term vision of how you can expect to see them evolve.
We won't get into nitty gritty details, but will rather focus on explaining the overall mechanism, and how all the pieces fit together into something broader.
