Joachim Roekens has a Master's Degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Liège and has worked at Deuse for two years as a Software Engineer. He is one of the company's leading Odoo specialists and works on other web developments. His diverse skills enable him to carry out precise customized Odoo developments. Since he arrived at Deuse, he has had the opportunity to work on numerous Odoo projects, from the simplest to the most complex, which sometimes require very specific customizations to meet the needs of our customers.

Pierre Rosmeulen, who holds a bachelor's degree in marketing and a master's degree in Banking and Asset Management from HEC Liège, joined Deuse in January 2022 as Business Developer. Before joining us, he worked as a strategy consultant for various sectors. Since joining us, he has had the opportunity to sell and work on various Odoo projects. Thanks to his varied experience, he can quickly identify our customers' needs and propose the solution that will perfectly meet them.

Much more than a configurator, we will present an independent solution based on 3 Odoo modules (Inventory, Manufacturing, and eCommerce) without modifying their source code and inner workings. The configurator works harmoniously with those modules to offer a fluid and innovative feature.µ

In this short lecture, we are going to explain the customer journey from order to delivery as well as everything that happens in the background, step by step:
1: The customer navigates the website and makes his configuration
2: Creation of a product in the inventory based on the configuration made by the customer
3: Manufacturing of the product based on the configuration
4: Invoicing and shipping of the product

Our presentation aims to explain how to make customized products without touching the basic Odoo service and without denaturalizing it to allow stability and easy updates.
Companies with a specific need (such as a configurator) that does not quite fit into the Odoo system will discover that it is possible to have a customized platform without altering the Odoo tool.

We will also present some practical cases of configurators and explain the basics of creating a configurator.
