The target audience for this talk is Partners, retailers and people in the mall business. The versions covered are Version 8 and Version 10

From this talk attendees will see how we used Odoo in the vertical of malls and retail stores to integrate with different POS systems. Our project is basically linking Odoo as a central ERP and reporting tool with different POS systems of different tenants in a mall.

The challenge derives from the fact that each tenant can have a different POS system used in his store, and each software used can be provided by a separate software vendor and running a different database type. So our system was designed with the ability to integrate with many different database types like: PostGRESQL, MS SQL, MySQL, Oracle Database, Sybase SQL and many others. This integration can go on several levels:
1- User manual upload of CSV files
2- POS system to generate an automated CSV report that is captured through FTP server to our system
3- Direct database integration with POS system
4- Script installed on POS machine will directly fetch data from database and send it to our database through FTP link to Odoo, then collects the data from these different sources and uses it for reporting. Several custom reports have been developed as per the client needs. In addition to this, we implemented Odoo CRM as a means of project tracking between us and our customer. We have also implemented Odoo CRM at the client database so that they use it in their daily tasks with tenants.

From this presentation attendees should expect:
- To get to see the methodology that we implemented and the results achieved in our projects.
- To witness a demo of the developed app
- To open up a partnership deal with different Odoo partners who wish to market this solution in their markets
