On my PC OpenERP is taking ages to update module list.

I know there is -u parameter that we can use to force OpenERP to update a particular module but I am not able to get the name of the module in the list of Apps.

I have removed Featured filter and am viewing apps in list view and not in kanban view.

How to get my module to appear in apps list without having to click on Update Module List and waiting for ages for this process to complete.

TIA

Hi Yogesh,

there are two parts to your question.

In order to update module and the database fields on startup of the OpenERP server you can indeed use the -u parameter. In order to update all modules use "-u all" or jst to update module xxx use "-u xxx".

A possible reason you cannot see your module is that the Settings->Modules->Apps is that this only shown Apps (modules approved by OpenERP themselves). In order to see all modules look in Settings->Modules->Installed Modules and then delete the filter (top left) "Installed".

Hope this helps.
