Hey, i searched for a while, but I can't find the place where the regex is executed.

So for example, if I got that right, patterns like...

^(?:.*\.)+%d => www.abd.de, abc.de,  any.other.subdomain.abc.de

^(?:www.|cms.)+%d => www.abd.de, abc.de,  any.other.subdomain.abc.de

...are able to setup multi domains, for different databases, if you configure them right, because it only hits 1 DB and that is used

Well that is somewhat disappointing implemented.

Well, cleverly deployed, you can cover many different use cases, and for the rest you still have the community module https://apps.odoo.com/apps/modules/11.0/dbfilter_from_header/.

That's a better way. Do you have any experiance with the multi website modules in the store?

I have experience with the community module https://github.com/OCA/website/tree/11.0/website_multi_theme only.
