How to pay employee via accounting app only without payroll app (odoo online)

I would like to know how to pay employee via accounting app only without payroll app.

Hi,
You can do it by journal entry. To track it separate, create a salary journal as well.
* Method 1 (Direct Ledger): *
Salary Expense Entry:
Eg: Total Salary of the employee A is 5000$
Account
Debit
Credit
Salary Expenses - Employee A
5000$

Salary Payable - Employee A

5000$
Salary Payment Entry:
Eg: Salary Payment from Bank
Account
Debit
Credit
Salary Payable - Employee A
5000$

Bank

5000$

1. You can handle this through a journal entry:

First, you need to create the employee as a partner:

Create the Employee Partner Account: In Odoo, make sure the employee is listed as a partner. This will link their property_account_payable_id for salary transactions.

Credit the Employee Partner Account: Upon confirming the monthly salary, credit the employee's partner account with the net salary amount.
