We are doing food MRP. We would like to create MO's with large quantities like 480 units. We are also packing 120 units in boxes (Packages) using the Relocate Button -> Specify package and location. This also provides us with box Traceability through the packages references feature.


After completing MO, there is a transfer which occurs from Production to WH/Stock with 1 lot number which results in 1 Stock Quant of 480 units


I would like to split this stock quant into subquants like 120 units with the same lot number, so that i can use Relocate button 4 times and put 120 units into individual packages


I know I can split the MO, which would result in 4 transfers, but this complicates things. I know I can also do an internal transfer or multiple internal transfers to accomplish this.

I would like to keep using the Relocate button & Packages feature so as not to require so many steps of internal transfers etc. for packing into boxes.


Is there any method or 3rd party module for accomplishing this?

When completing the Transfer to store the finished products, you can use the Moves Smart Button at the top to define that you want 4 groups of 120 instead of 480.

You can also duplicate the lines to make it faster to enter your split quantities.

Thank you for providing this info. This setup will work for us.

The only thing I noticed is that when duplicating the transfer lines like in your post, the page is not refreshing to show the new lines. I need to click the transfer breadcrumbs, then click the "moves" smart button again, then the duplicates appear. Are you seeing the same behavior?
