My suggested solution of exporting the Arabic translations and then importing them as English to effectively "overwrite" the English translations for the POS app is a viable, though slightly unconventional, approach. It leverages the translation import/export mechanism in Odoo.

Why it works:

• Translation Files: Odoo stores translations in files (typically .po files). When you export a language, you're essentially getting a file containing the key-value pairs for the translated terms. The "key" is usually the original English text (or a technical identifier), and the "value" is the translated text.
• Overwriting: By importing the Arabic translation file as English, you're telling Odoo to use the Arabic "values" for the English "keys." This effectively replaces the existing English translations with the Arabic ones, but only within the context of the POS app (since you selected that during export).
• Targeted Change: Because you're exporting only the POS app's translations, you're limiting the impact of this "overwrite" to just the POS. Other modules' English translations remain untouched.

Steps (more detailed):

1. Export Arabic Translations (POS only):
   • Go to Settings -> Translations -> Export Translations.
   • Select the Arabic language and choose POS APP.
   • Click Export.
   • Crucially: In the export wizard, select only the "Point of Sale" application (or whatever technical name your POS app has). This is the key to limiting the scope. Choose the format as .po.
2. Import as English:
   • Go to Settings -> Translations -> Import Translations.
   • Select the English(US) language and code en_US.
   • Click Import.
   • Upload the .po file you just exported.
   • Crucially: In the import wizard, select English as the target language. This is what causes the "overwrite."
