In his early days at Odoo, Raphael developed the portal module for version 6.1. He contributed on usability improvements for version 7.0. He then moved to the "Framework" team, where he designed and implemented the new model API in Python for version 8.0. He since leads the Framework team, and keeps improving its API and implementation.

This talk discusses Odoo's server implementation architecture, and shows some of its specific features. Those features make it almost impossible to reimplement Odoo on top of another programming framework.
