The Fulex Group started out as Mic's Body Shop, an online shop for nutritional supplements. But it wasn't long before it was storing and shipping more than just its own fitness products. Over the years, the team developed comprehensive logistics expertise, which it now makes available to other companies.
Today, the Fulex Group operates as a 3PL (third-party logistics) service provider, taking care of the entire logistics process for its customers. This allows them to focus fully on their core business.
However, this successful growth brought its own challenges. A broad customer base also means that Fulex now stores over 3,500 different products, some of which have very specific requirements. To cope with this complexity, you need a smart system.

Wanted: A digital supplement for healthy growth
With up to 35,000 packages per day, the Fulex Group had reached a size where traditional fulfillment methods were no longer sufficient. In traditional single-order picking, employees are sent out individually for each order to collect products. The system is simple, is not prone to errors, and does not require complex onboarding. However, it is also slow – especially when serving a wide range of products and customers. This is because this process can only handle one picking order at a time.
In order to meet its own ambitions, Fulex radically changed its processes in 2024. The goal: maximum efficiency through multi-order picking. However, this process stands and falls with the right infrastructure. It requires a warehouse management system that maintains a complete overview of inventory and a seamless integration of scales and cameras. The system intelligently consolidates orders so that employees can complete multiple assignments in one go. The technical hardware acts as a safety net, ensuring that every package leaves the warehouse correctly packed.
Fulex decided to replace the legacy solution with software that could achieve these ambitious goals. “We chose Odoo because the system is flexible, scalable, and quickly adaptable” says COO Leonie Niedermayer. But how do you introduce new ERP software in an industry that never takes a break? The answer: with a big bang.
High Intensity Transformation: A fresh start under pressure
In the logistics industry, every minute counts and mistakes are quickly punished. The implementation of the new software therefore had to be carried out quickly and without errors. Odoo was to replace the legacy solution with a “big bang” – while continuing to process current orders.

Development began with Odoo partner ruhrdot GmbH. Thanks to Odoo's modular structure, the necessary adjustments could be implemented quickly and at relatively low cost. “It was precisely this flexibility that was crucial: Odoo enabled us to respond iteratively to new requirements until a stable, efficient workflow was established,” summarizes Leonie Niedermayer.
A reliable control system is essential for the multi-order picking system. Odoo allows the Fulex Group to seamlessly integrate scales and cameras into the overall system via IoT – without gaps or complex interfaces. This keeps everything organized to eliminate errors.
Over a period of just three months, Fulex transformed its internal workflows with the help of Odoo and introduced the new software solution. This was a huge undertaking, made possible by the efforts of the team and the flexibility of the software. But the reward didn't take long: In the first week after go-live over 100,000 orders were processed.

The Fulex Group didn't just install new software. When switching to Odoo, it decided to fully exploit the potential of the new platform and transformed its entire fulfillment concept.
The figures speak for themselves: thanks to the switch to Odoo, Fulex has seen a 100% increase in efficiency. These successes have been evident in various areas.
The greatest progress has been observed in the core business of inventory management. Not only can orders now be processed much faster, but technical monitoring with scales and cameras also ensures extremely high accuracy.
