Is there a way to remove the Categories from the ecommerce search results? Some of our products are in 100s of different categories making results extremely long.

Hi, you have two options to address this:
1. For a quick solution, navigate to `Settings -> Technical -> Views` and search for `'product_category_extra_link'`. Then, comment out all existing code and replace it with just a `<t/>` tag.
2. Alternatively, you can override the `def _search_get_detail()` method. Within this method, change `with_category = options['displayExtraLink']` to `with_category=False`. This will prevent customers from seeing categories in the website search results.

In my opinion, choosing Option 2 would be better.

You can hide a category from specific websites by using the Websites field.
- Go to Website → Products → eCommerce Categories .
- Open the category you want to control.
- In the Websites field ( website_id ), add the website(s) where this category should not be visible .
- Save.
Result:
The category will be restricted based on the websites selected in the field, and it will no longer appear on the websites you added.
This keeps the search results clean so users only see directly relevant items.

Thanks for the reply. I still want them shown on the necessary pages, I just do not want them shown in the search results.
