When innovation meets tradition, stories like Matrix Gráfica emerge. This company from Santa Rosa, La Pampa has been offering customized graphic solutions in Argentina for over a decade. Today, thanks to Odoo, they’ve managed to organize, optimize, and modernize their operation without losing what has always defined them: responsibility, quality, and a commitment to solving any challenge their clients bring their way.

Matrix Gráfica was founded more than a decade ago from the desire to offer higher-quality products in the local graphic market. Its founder, who had already accumulated experience as a manager at another printing house, realized that customers deserved something beyond the “basic and cheap.” He decided to start his own company with a single machine and just two team members.

“My dad saw that customers deserved better quality. If you sell something good and reliable, the customer keeps buying from you. That’s how Matrix was born, with the commitment to do things well and never bother the client,” recalls Federico Pietrangelo, now right-hand man in the company, and marketing manager.

Over time, Matrix Gráfica became a reference in integral graphic solutions: from small product stickers to 10x5 meter roadside billboards. They serve final consumers, businesses, and public institutions, building their reputation almost exclusively through word-of-mouth recommendations.

"We don’t just print: we solve problems. If we can’t do it ourselves, we know how to make it possible and who to talk to. That’s our difference."

The challenge: outdated systems
and a lack of organization

As their customer base and product offering grew, Matrix Gráfica began facing operational hurdles. For many years, they relied on Gescom, a locally installed software: basic, unintuitive, and with important limitations.

"We had been using Gescom for ages. It was rustic, with no friendly interface. To give you an idea, we didn’t even send quotes from the system: we designed them in Corel using templates we created, because we didn’t want clients to see something that looked so ugly."

The company’s image and internal organization were at risk. They needed a modern, flexible system that reflected the quality they were selling. “We had lots of products and clients, and we were starting to get messy. It was time to take a big step,” Federico recalls.

Tangible results: Odoo as a pillar of efficiency

The search for a solution led Federico to explore the main management systems through YouTube and Google. After meeting with several providers, he found Odoo.

"I loved it from the beginning: easy interface, apps connected and, above all, the possibility to adapt them to our needs. With so much product variety and custom work, we needed something equally flexible.”

They began implementation with the support of Denise, an Odoo consultant, using an initial package of hours. Although they chose to start with a reduced set of applications, the results have been significant.

Today, Matrix Gráfica mainly uses Sales, Accounting, Contacts, and Inventory (partially), plus Activities for internal task organization. Even without leveraging all of Odoo’s potential, the benefits are clear:

Efficient multi-company management: “Being able to load multiple companies was key. We have Matrix Gráfica and another under a simplified tax regime. This lets us invoice with a lower tax burden when possible, boosting profitability without administrative headaches,” says Federico.

More organized, professional sales: Sales allows them to filter quotations by stage (done, cancelled, in progress) and include unlimited text descriptions. “With Gescom we had only 30 characters per description. Impossible to detail customized jobs. Now we can put all the information and present a clear, professional quote,” he explains.

Clearer internal communication: Internal notes on orders and invoices let the team leave instructions without relying on memory. “You can go back to an order from a year ago and see all the notes. Before, everything depended on remembering or loose papers,” Federico adds.

Flexibility tailored to the business: Editable screens and custom fields simplify unique processes like invoicing without VAT when needed, reducing repetitive work on projects with many items.

Better customer perception: Quotes and documents now reflect the quality of their products, reinforcing trust in the brand.

"Odoo allowed us to organize the company and improve our image. Today we work more clearly and with less stress."

What’s next for Matrix Gráfica

With a technological foundation in place, Matrix Gráfica plans to keep growing. They aim to strengthen their digital marketing presence and take advantage of more Odoo apps for campaigns and CRM.

“Ninety per cent of our customers came through recommendations. Now we want more people to get to know us. Odoo is going to help us do that,” says Federico.

They also want to expand production capacity and continue standing out thanks to speed and availability, keeping raw materials ready even for urgent requests.

The story of Matrix Gráfica shows that having the right system can be the difference between merely surviving and truly growing. If your company needs organization, flexibility, and a professional image, it may be time to explore what Odoo can do for you.
