Enhanced Security for Odoo forms
The Odoo app from BroadTech is an enhancement of the standard access control mechanisms in Odoo which is based on users, groups and record rules. The solution addresses an external scenario in which an already authenticated record(Odoo form) become exposed to other users during the physical absence of the authorized person who opens the record and leaves desk.
After installing and configuring the app, logged in users have to key in their passwords whenever they create or update forms (records). The extra user authentication shall be applicable for selected models only.
The interfaces and configuration of the app is simple.
The menu "Authenticated Models" under User Interface menu, allows Administrator to configure the models to be protected using enhanced user authentication.
Save and Edit actions performed by users on records (forms) corresponding to the authenticated models would pop up a window asking password of the user. User can proceed with create or update action only after authorizing himself by keying in the password.
Wrong passwords would return authentication failure warning.
